THE FIRST HISPANIC FAIR IN FLORIDA TO CELEBRATE CHRISTMAS TRADITIONS
Thousands Expected to Attend Highly Anticipated ‘Christmas Experience’
FORT LAUDERDALE, FL. – Broward County’s Hispanic community and music lovers everywhere are abuzz with excitement over the announcement of the 12Th annual Fiestas Patronales and Business Expo, to be held on Dec 19, 2013 thru Jan 5, 2014 at Pembroke Pines City Center.
“We are extremely proud to present the biggest Hispanic musical, cultural and business expo in Broward County, as well as the 1st Hispanic Fair in South Florida,” says Frank Nieves, president of the Puerto Rican/Hispanic Chamber of Commerce. “Creating upscale events that support Latin culture, arts and businesses that provides us with a unique opportunity to forge greater understanding, unity amongst our people, and support to the local economy at the same time.”
Since its inception twelve years ago, Fiestas Patronales well-publicized, family-friendly events have drawn over 300,000 thousand attendees from throughout the U.S., Caribbean, and Central and South America, much to the delight of its 450,000 Broward County Hispanics and over 2.0 plus millions in South Florida, local and national sponsors, businesses, vendors, artists, and Grammy Winner performers.
This year’s celebration is expected to be bigger and better than ever, since it will capture the Christmas Celebrations and will be highlighted by an unprecedented gathering of the world’s most renowned Salsa and Latin music recording artists assembled in the past two decades. Scheduled performers will include the first assembling of The Fiestas All Star gathering what will be known as “The reborn of the Salsa Golden Era”. Lined up consisting of some of the main players and Grammy Winners of the salsa music worldwide such as: Larry Harlow, Chino Nunez, Marlow Rosado, Mario Ortiz, Herman Olivera, Yoko, Melena and many other great artists and musicians.
Fiestas will not only bring the best of Salsa music, but community awareness such as Breast Cancer, Autism Spectrum, Developmental Disability, Health awareness days and fairs followed by unprecedented educational and community events. Part of the proceeds will go to Women 2 Women Breast Cancer Foundation, Autism Speak, My First Horizon, Se7en Angels Kidz Org. and other non profit and community organizations which are lined up for this 18 day “Christmas Experience” extravaganza.
In addition to an unforgettable lineup of musical performances, the 2013 Fiestas Patronales and Business Expo will feature a Christmas Day Multicultural Concert, New Years Count Down Celebration, Three Kings Day Celebration, Salsa dance Guinness competition, informative cultural workshops, sumptuous Latin cuisine, art and craft exhibits and instruction, and a wide array of vendors representing South Florida’s diverse Hispanic business community.
